Commitment
Junk Rescue is not only committed to the environment, but also to our community. While we are dedicated to
reducing our waste stream and improving spatial clarity, we also make sure that all useable items are donated when applicable.
Appliances, furniture, electronics, building materials, clothing, and other reusable items are taken to local non profits. This allows these
organizations to raise funds and gives less fortunate members of the community the opportunity to pick up or purchase items they might otherwise
be forced to go without.
Junk Rescue is also committed to the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center located at UNC-Chapel Hill. Through a partnership
with the North Carolina Firefighters’ Burned Children Fund and the Charlotte Fire Department, Junk Rescue donates all proceeds
raised from the collection of aluminum cans which helps fund medical equipment and research for burn injuries as well as Camp
Celebrate, the first camp for burn survivors in the United States.
Please help us support these great causes by taking aluminum cans to your neighborhood firehouse!
